Map-west-baliNEW!!

Trying to show our customer the real beautiful and unspoilt Bali we changed our itinerary from visiting the usual tourist sites like Tanah Lot and Bedugul to a more nature and landscape tour…

We pick you up with a classic Vw 181 and drive you to the rainforest of Mount Batukaru. The temple at the end of the mountain road is very mysterious and very holy to the Balinese. There are no souvenir stores nor are there any tourists. You are shown around the temple, everything being explained by your guide followed by a short walk at the edge  the rainforest. A ten minute drive brings you afterwards to spectacular rice terraces where we will take you on a 45 minute trek. The tour continues along the rice terraces in the Jatiluwih World Heritage area. On the way you stop to see cocoa trees, coffee plants and vanilla. This is a highlight of the tour and you can stop wherever you want to take photos, the road being very quiet and the scenery spectacular.

After lunch we drive back down South and visit a Balinese family compound and the guide explains how people live, their ceremonies and everyday life.

On the way home we have a photostop at another very old temple , Pura Sada in Kapa

The tour takes you to remote and beautiful parts of West Bali with emphasis on landscapes, like rice terraces, waterfall and Botanical Garden.

  • Morning departure to Taman Ayun, also called the Garden temple of Bali. Founded in the 16th century by the kingdom of Mengwi it is a perfect example of temple architecture. It is surrounded by a lake, representing the sea and its inner centre consists of beautiful merus, symbolizing the mountains. Thus it is a perfect miniature representation of the cosmos.
  • Afterwards the tour continues through breathtaking countryside to the mountain village of Bedugul, more then 300feet above sea level. Here the Botanical Garden is visited. Highlights are the huge trees and ferns, orchids and other beautiful flowers.
  • The tour passes along Beratan and Buyan lake and after lunch it’s a good time to go for a little hike to a waterfall at Munduk village. Swimming in the crystal clear water is possible and very refreshing.
  • Next stop is at the biggest tree on the island, visible already miles ahead. Its roots create a natural cave where you can get quite lost upon entering.
