Pick up in a VW 181 Safari Jeep early in the morning.
As you leave Southern Bali the road gets less busy and you reach GOA LAWAH, the famous Bat cave.It is one of the most important places of worship for the Balinese Hindus. The Cave is thought to be connected with Agung Mountain , the seat of the Gods. As it faces the sea and Nusa Penida island it is thought of respresenting the underworld. The hundreds of bats that live at the edge of the cave are an awesome sight. With a bit of luck one can see huge ceremonies.

The tour continues to the village of Manggis where a mountain road with spectacular views is driven. There are a number of Stops to take pictures.
After about one hour the waterpalace TIRTHA GANGGA is visited.
Built by the last king of Karangasam it is an oasis of peace and cool breezes in the middle of the ricefields. Fountains, pools with lotus flowers and stone carvings, huge trees that give shade make this place very special.

Around noon the safari stops in AMED, a remote fishing village famous for its coral reefs. Lunch is served in a lovely warung right on Jemeluk beach.
There is time to snorkel and explore the reefs with its colourful fish and corals.
One of the highlights of the tour is the drive on Balis most eastern road high above the ocean with vies of hidden beaches and colourful villages.
The area is quite dry so the vegetation is different from the rest of the island. On a clear day the view is all the way to Lombok and islands around Bali.

Next stop is the secret WHITE SAND BEACH. A gorgeous two kilometer long sheltered beach with fine white sand and turquoise waters. There is time to swim and relax on a beachchair. Massages are offered at reasonable price and one can enjoy a fresh coconut.
On the way back South there is foto stop in Candi Dasa and eventually the last point of the tour is a BLACK SAND BEACH, famous for surfing because of the huge waves. This beach is not safe for swimming but nevertheless beautiful.
